Video Social Networking

I have heard good things about the startup company. 12Seconds is a social networking site structured like Twitter.com only instead of short text updates, users upload short video updates. It is a unique idea in that it does not allow video clips longer than twelve seconds long. You can upload a video longer than twelve seconds but it will only show the first twelve seconds of the video.

You may upload video to 12Seconds.tv in a few ways. One is to upload directly from your computer. You may take a short video with a webcam and upload it very quickly. This video will be immediately posted to your account updates and viewable by the 12Seconds online community if you so choose. The other way to upload video is from your cell phone, if it has video capability. You can take a quick video with your cell phone and send it via email to your 12Seconds.tv account. You receive a unique email address to send to when you create an account with 12seconds.

I setup an account just yesterday with 12seconds and was up and running in just a few minutes. I also immediately uploaded a short video update of my nephew. Total time was less than five minutes from signup process to uploading my first video update.

Time will tell if users find this service to their liking but with the amount of cell phones with video and email capability I think this service will take off in the next year.
